I wrote this tiny poem when I lived in Guanajuato and when I frequently made the journey on the Primera Plus buses to and from DF. One night, we pulled into the Guanajuato bus station at sunset and the sky looked like an ice-cream. So I penned this:

Sundae Sky.

Iron rods stick out of

half melted ice-cream walls

like crooked 99 flakes,

and strawberry sunset clouds

ripple and scrape the sky.
